JINAN, Nov. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A firecracker factory in eastern Shandong province blew off Monday afternoon, killing two and injuring three others, while two suspects ran away from hospital, according to local police source on Wednesday.

　　The police with Qingyun county in northe rn Shandong where the accident occurred said the blast at 1 p.m. Monday blew the whole factory off and hit several farmhouses nearby. One was killed on the spot and another one died in hospital after failing to respond to medical treatment.

　　Three injured farmers were hospitalized but two of them, business people from northern city of Tianjin, ran away from the hospital, the police said, adding that they were on the hunt for the runaways.

　　It was a serious accident due to the illegal firecracker-making, the police concluded. Enditem
